Dragons in a Carbonfiferous Canopy

Extinct bottlebrush trees like Sigillaria as well as various tree-sized horsetail relatives like Calamites arose from Carboniferous wetlands to form an emerald umbrella over the grounds of aerial predators like the griffenfly, Meganeuropsis permiana. Imagine yourself lying beneath this green canopy watching an aerial display. Original art now in the collection of Jude Burton.
